Known as America’s Sweetheart, Chris Evert had a legendary career, as many consider her one of the top five players of all time. During her tennis career, she gained immense popularity wherever she went. Once in 1981, she met with Lady Diana, a former member of the British Royal Family. Notably, Lady Diana had wedding jitters, as she was about to marry Charles, Prince of Wales. So, she wanted to have a conversation with Evert, as she also recently married British tennis player John Lloyd.

What did Lady Diana say to Chris Evert.
Talking about her wedding to Prince Charles, Diana said to Evert, “I am so nervous about everything, I hardly know what to do.“
How did Evert reply?
In reply, Evert said, “I assured Lady Diana that marriage was great and she has nothing to be concerned about… I told her she should relax in the same way as I try to calm myself before a game, I told her, I try to think of other things but of course, she has so much to do.“
Evert’s marriage over the years.
Evert and John Lloyd met at Wimbeldon in 1978 and got married a year later, their marriage lasted for 8 years and a year later Evert married Andy Mill. After 18 years they both parted ways. Two years after her second divorce, she married one of the greatest golfers of all time, Greg Norman. Sadly, their marriage only lasted one year as they filed for divorce in 2009.
