Williams gave birth to her beloved daughter in 2017. She nursed her for eight months and this could have hindered her comeback. So, when her former coach Patrick Mouratoglou told her to stop breastfeeding Olympia completely, initially, Williams did not feel great.

She said, “It’s absolutely hard to take from a guy.” Williams was irked by the fact he could not understand her stance. She said, “He’s not a woman, he doesn’t understand that connection, that the best time of the day for me was when I tried to feed her.”
Williams had more to add.
Furthermore, she said, “I’ve spent my whole life making everyone happy, just servicing it seems like everyone. And this is something I wanted to do.” However, she eventually stopped nursing after 11 months on the recommendation of her coach.
