Reed Hastings, the co-founder and CEO of Netflix, has become the majority owner of Utah's Powder Mountain Resort through a new $100 million investment just months after buying a minority stake.

Reed Hastings has become the majority owner of Powder Mountain with a $100 million investment in the ski resort near Eden.


Powder Mountain for 'the ultimate skier experience'

"This is an investment in what we consider to be the ultimate skier experience," Hastings said in the release, committing to improving upon what he believes makes Powder Mountain a unique skiing destination.

Plans ahead for Utah Ski Resort

The resort, spanning over 8,400 acres, gives the most skiable acres in North America. And, as part of Hasting's investment, Powder Mountain plans to offer guided backcountry tours to some of the resort's steepest accessible terrain.
