Despite Severe Health Issues, Claire Curzan Pushes To Pull Out a Record-Breaking Performance at US World Championship Trials

The US Nationals are here, and athletes are fighting to the bone to grab a seat in the World Championship. However, Claire Curzan, international representative of the US Team, was undergoing severe health issues just before the nationals. Anyway, despite her sickness, Claire Curzan delivered a record-breaking performance at the 100 free.

A week before the US World Championship Trials, Curzan was taken to the emergency room as she had severe symptoms of fever and chills.

After coming to Indianapolis, the swimmer decided not to participate in the 100-meter race but eventually changed her mind. Guess what? Her performance in the race was one of her finest till now, exceeding her past records. 

An act deserving appreciation 

Claire Curzan came 3rd at 58.59 seconds, after Regan Smith at 57.7 and Katherine Berkoff at 58.01, respectively. Although she is yet to secure her spot for the world championships, Curzan's impressive performance despite sickness deserves appreciation.
