Catapulting to Top, a New Leader Emerges in the Heated Battle Leading to Rodeo Nationals

As the bull riders gear up for the season finales with year-end, it has been an exciting time for the 2023 PBR Canada Championship contenders. At the penultimate Cup Series, 22 riders tried to best the others. But in the end, one emerged victorious. 

The 2023 PBR Canada Cup Series

Starting in February, the Canada Cup Series covered six events across the country to arrive at Medicine Hat - the next to last event, crucial to making it to the National Finals in November.

On October 14, Jordan Hansen first scored 84 points in Round 1. Later, challenging contender Langham Kid, he marked an event-best 89.5 points - a perfect 2-for-2 to win the PBR Medicine Hat Classic. 

Onto the Championship

The victory earned Hansen a total of 129 national points alongside a $100,000 bonus. It also pushed Jordan up the ladder to rank No.7 from No.13, leading him to the final race to be crowned the 2023 PBR Canada Champion.
