Bubba Wallace needs to be given credit for being one of the first drivers to start the mental health conversation in the world of NASCAR.
NASCAR announced that it will be working with RealRespone, a platform that provides sportspersons with a safe space to deliver concerns to their administration and seek help.
With tweets dating back to 2019, Bubba has been pretty open about his struggle with mental health and that deserves appreciation.
“You try to be the best you can and sometimes it ain’t damn good enough. I’ll be damned. It all goes away when you get behind the wheel. It’s 16 years of driving. It helps. But it’s tough. I’m on the verge of breaking down. And I am what I am.”
