With the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series just around the corner, drivers have begun their preparations. This includes the Hendrick Motorsports duo of 2021 champion, Kyle Larson and 2020 champion, Chase Elliott.
Recently, the Red Hawk Casino announced The Apex Grand Opening event, where they are inaugurating a new go-kart track. So the idea was for the Hendrick Motorsports stars to go head-to-head in a race on February 2nd.
This little go-kart race comes, barely a couple of days before the Clash at the Coliseum on February 5th. Then, the proper season begins at the Daytona 500 on February 19th. Beyond that, it is just a matter of trying to reach the Playoffs and securing their position.
Larson and Elliott put up a decent fight last year, but now, everyone has had time to adjust to the Next Gen car. So, there is a strong possibility of being a no-holds-barred dogfight between all the top drivers.
