NASCAR

Kyle Busch rejuvenated himself in the 2023 season after signing with Richard Childress Racing from Joe Gibbs Racing.

Meanwhile, veteran commentator Mike Joy believes Busch’s performance actually put RCR ahead in Chevrolet's pecking order, despite losing one of its NASCAR partners recently.

Chevrolet lost one of its partners

As per reports, Legacy Motor Club will switch from Chevrolet to Toyota next season. Owner Jimmie Johnson recently talked about competing with HMS, as he said, “There’s no way to get around my 20 years at Hendrick and being in the catbird seat. At Hendrick Motorsports what we amassed at the 48 car and the success that we had and kind of the sway we had not only within the manufacturer but within Hendrick Motorsports itself.”

Kyle Busch’s amazing season in a Chevy with RCR

In the 2023 season, Busch had 3 wins so far and his latest win came at the Gateway. He has already qualified for the playoffs and is certainly one of the favorites to win the Cup Series title. On the other hand, many believe Busch’s amazing season actually put RCR ahead of Trackhouse Racing in terms of Chevrolet’s pecking order with HMS leading the way.
