However, his legacy still remains with not only his achievements in the sport but also with his son Dale Earnhardt Jr. Naturally, Dale Jr misses his father as he opens up about their relationship from time to time.
In a video uploaded on the former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick’s YouTube channel, Dale Jr. opened up about his father. The NASCAR analyst stated, "He pushed so hard for me and Kelly to finish school, we get there for graduation and he’s at a racetrack. I do not understand how he missed my graduation.”
“All through my high school years, he’s like ‘you gotta finish your school’. I don’t know why he thought we were going to drop out, but he’s like, ‘I just need you to finish school. It’s really important to me you finish school," concluded the former Cup Series driver.
