During the closing laps of the Kansas Race, Ross Chastain appeared to pin Noah Gragson to the fence, which cost the latter the race. After the race, Gragson confronted Chastain, as they got into a fistfight. Later, Gragson tore Chastain apart, as he took the example of Chase Elliott.
Because of Chastain’s antics, Gragson finished the race in 29th position, whereas Chastain finished in 5th place. After the race, Gragson grabbed his collar and confronted Chastain. But, the latter punched Gragson with a right hook. The NASCAR officials stepped in and stopped the fight.

Later in an interview, Chastain said, “Yeah, definitely crowded him up off of (Turn) 4, and he took a swipe at us in (Turn) 3, and then he came down and grabbed a hold of me, and a very big man once told me we have a no-push policy here at Trackhouse.”
Gragson also gave an interview after the altercation, as he said, “I am sick and tired of it… The guy just runs into everyone. When you got guys like Chase Elliott and other guys telling you to go beat his a*s. Everyone’s just sick and tired of him but nobody has the balls to go up to him and get him.”
