The LPGA legend is a mother of two who retired from professional golf in 2008. God blessed her with an excellent life partner, Mike McGee, who is very observant. The couple exchanged vows in 2009, four weeks after she left the sport. The pro had her own rough phases to cross, but thankfully she had the support of her loved one.
The legendary golfer talked about her round at the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. Sorenstam didn’t even realize that she had reached a milestone. Thankfully, her husband pointed it out, which pleased her.
The golfer was so lost in playing that she overlooked the results of her great shot. She said, “Mike told me after I finished, it was the first non-bogey in a long time, which wasn’t on my mind, but I am obviously very pleased to play here without a bogey.” She was happy with her performance.
Even though Annika had a rocky start, she is now back in her form. She believes more and more shots are on the way. “I’m happy. I got off to a little shaky start but made some good putts on the first hole and the second hole, and the third,” said the greatest golfer of all time.
Annika took some time to settle down, however, it all went well, and she eventually settled down. “I found the rhythm a little bit more and was enjoying being out there and kind of settling down and feeling more comfortable, then hit some really good shots coming in.”
Sorenstam has got her competitive juices flowing. She smiled when asked if she ever checks the LPGA Tour scoreboard while competing as a celebrity in the Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. But for her, it doesn’t matter much.
