At the closing stages of the race, Kimi Raikkonen was running strong at P10 thanks to an impressive start to the race. However, with just 3 laps to go, the Iceman spun off the track at Turn 6 and eventually finished thirteenth.
After a successful undercut strategy, Red Bull’s Max Verstappen secured his eighth victory of the season after crossing the chequered flag just above a second before Lewis Hamilton. In addition, the Dutchman has extended his lead by 12 points.
