SAG And AFTRA are on strike for weeks now, and this has affected the production of both video games as well as movies. There was a period of negotiation that were started but it seems to have fallen through, lets see what it means for AAA developers.
This strike has been going on for months and has effected the whole movie business and it effectively spread to the Gaming Industry too. And everyone had been waiting for negotiation to start.
While the negotiations started a while ago, it does not look like they went any good, it all blew up and the strike continues.
This simply means that for now, no Union actors would be working on any video game projects for the time being. It might change but for not it is what it is.
