Jay Vincent thinks the bench press is not a good exercise

"The primary function of your pecs is adduction. Bring your arm from outside, to in. If you were doing a bench press, you’re not getting any adduction at all", Vincent said.

"It just doesn’t optimally contract and load the chest muscles"

 Continuing further, he revealed, “When you’re doing a bench press, you’re going to often get stuck at the bottom. This is a mechanical sticking point that you may perceive as muscle failure, but it’s not.”
