On his YouTube channel, in a video titled “Ronnie Coleman REACTS to INSANE DeadLifts,” Coleman can be seen reacting candidly to some of the deadlifts.
At the start of the video, a lifter opted to hold the weight plates rather than the traditional bar during a deadlift, a method that evoked both shocks and worries from the legendary bodybuilder.
To many, this may appear to be a display of power or talent, but the dangers of this practice are evident. This type of method of doing a deadlift can lead to serious injuries. It can even be the cause of the end of the bodybuilding carrier.
Coleman says, “I figured out a new technique. Okay, not picking up by the bar, actually picking up by the weight itself.” The incredulity in his voice is palpable as he adds, “Well, there’s some stupid sh*t to be done; people will figure out a way to do it.”
Known for his dedication to bodybuilding and his vast knowledge of weightlifting, Coleman clearly sees this method as a dive into “a new level of stupidity.”
